Adding a Server
Overview
Adding a server to your ACS Monitor account creates a new server registration with its own license key, install token, and tier. Each server registration corresponds to a single ACS Monitor instance deployed on one host.
Steps to Add a Server
- Log in to your account at acsmon.com
- From the dashboard, click "Add Server"
- Fill in the required details:
- Server name — a descriptive name for this instance (e.g., "London Office Monitor")
- Admin username — the initial administrator username for the ACS Monitor web interface
- Admin password — a strong password for the admin account
- Select a licensing tier (Free, Pro, Enterprise, or request a Custom quote)
- If selecting a paid tier, complete payment via Stripe
- Your server is now registered and you will receive your install command
After Registration
Once your server is registered, you will see:
- License key — your unique 32-character key (see License Keys)
- Install command — a one-line curl command to install ACS Monitor on your host (see Install Command)
- Install token expiry — the deadline to run the install command (default 24 hours)
Multiple Servers
You can register multiple servers under a single account. Each server has its own independent license key, tier, and device/monitor cap. This is useful for MSPs that deploy separate monitoring instances for different clients or locations.
Server Naming Tips
Choose descriptive names that help you identify servers at a glance. Good naming patterns include:
- Client name + location: "Acme Corp - Manchester"
- Purpose + environment: "Primary Production Monitor"
- Location-based: "DC-London-01"
