Cookie Policy
This cookie policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on the ACS Monitor website (acsmon.com), what types of cookies we set, and how you can manage your cookie preferences. This policy is compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK General Data Protection Regulation as incorporated by the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC).
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to the website operators. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them) or "session-based" (deleted when you close your browser).
Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies"), while others are set by third-party services that appear on the page ("third-party cookies"). We also use localStorage, a browser storage mechanism that functions similarly to cookies but does not expire automatically.
2. How We Use Cookies
We categorise cookies into three types based on their purpose. Only essential cookies are active by default; all other cookies require your explicit consent before they are set.
Essential / Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function correctly. They enable core features such as session management, security, and remembering your cookie consent preference. These cookies do not require your consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and cannot be switched off.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. Analytics cookies are only set when you give your explicit consent via our cookie consent banner. If you decline or do not interact with the banner, no analytics cookies are placed on your device.
Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences or settings. We currently use functional cookies only where they require your consent. If we introduce new functional cookies in the future, they will be clearly disclosed in this policy.

4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with measurement ID G-JS5S9TX0GF to analyse how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users and collect information about page views, session duration, traffic sources and general user behaviour.
We have enabled IP anonymization (data redaction) so that your full IP address is never stored by Google Analytics. Your IP address is truncated within EU/EEA member states (or the UK) before transmission to Google servers.
Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States. Google participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. This provides an adequate level of data protection for transfers of personal data from the EU/EEA and UK to the United States.
For more information about how Google collects and processes data, please see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
5. Consent Management
We handle cookie consent in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR requirements:
- Blocked by default — analytics cookies are blocked by default using Google Consent Mode v2. Both
analytics_storageandad_storageare set todenieduntil you actively consent. No tracking occurs until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. - Activated on consent — when you click "Accept" on our cookie consent banner, the consent state is updated to
grantedand Google Analytics begins collecting data. - Consent storage — your consent preference is stored in your browser's
localStorageunder the keycookie_consent. This is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers. - Withdrawing consent — you can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage data for this site, or by clearing your browsing data. This will cause the cookie consent banner to reappear on your next visit, allowing you to make a new choice.
6. Third-Party Cookies
In addition to the cookies described above, third-party services that we integrate may set their own cookies on your device:
Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments securely. When you interact with our payment forms or are redirected to Stripe for checkout, Stripe may set cookies on your device for fraud prevention, authentication and payment processing purposes. These cookies are controlled by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to Stripe's Cookie Policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party tracking mechanisms beyond Google Analytics and Stripe's payment-related cookies.
7. Your Rights
Under Article 7(3) of the GDPR, you have the right to withdraw your consent for non-essential cookies at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Please note that cookie consent is managed on a per-browser and per-device basis. If you use multiple browsers or devices to access our website, you will need to manage your cookie preferences separately on each one.
For more information about your data protection rights, please see our Privacy Policy.
8. How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies, though this may affect the functionality of some websites. Here are instructions for the most popular browsers:
- Google Chrome — go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data. You can block third-party cookies, clear cookies on exit, or manage exceptions for specific sites.
- Mozilla Firefox — go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. Firefox offers Standard, Strict and Custom tracking protection levels.
- Safari — go to Preferences > Privacy. Safari blocks cross-site tracking by default and provides options to block all cookies.
- Microsoft Edge — go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data. Edge offers Basic, Balanced and Strict tracking prevention levels.
To specifically opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Please be aware that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using core features of our website.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes to our website, or updates to applicable laws and regulations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
